The vast majority of our charitable efforts in our communities are managed through The Sofina Foundation. The Sofina Foundation harnesses the collective passion of our employees and partners to positively impact communities and nurture future generations. Working hand-in-hand with our employees, suppliers and members of our community, the Foundation endorses programs that support children of all ages, thereby touching the heart of our community.
The Sofina & Amici Golf Classic Passes the $5 Million Mark Collected in Support of Children's Causes
The Sofina Foundation’s 12th annual charity golf tournament, The Sofina & Amici Golf Classic, reached a new milestone with $5 million raised since its inception in 2008. The money raised during this year’s event will fulfill Sofina’s five year, $2.5 million commitment to the Youth Mental Health Program at the Sunnybrook Brain Sciences Centre.

Each year, we run a national initiative, the Dream Builders’ Campaign, where employees throughout our company organize and take part in various initiatives to raise money in support of children’s causes.
Each and every dollar raised through fundraising efforts is then matched, dollar-for-dollar, by Sofina Foods Inc., doubling the impact. In 2023, the campaign celebrated its tenth anniversary, and we donated a record amount of funds to TWENTY-SIX children’s charities across Canada. This national initiative has allowed us to grant numerous wishes for families of critically ill and medically fragile children, send children with cancer to experience the magic of camp, support urgent mental health initiatives as well as provide support and programming to children who need it most.

How to submit a donation request
**Thank you for your interest in receiving a donation from the Sofina Foundation. Please note that we have already made our financial commitments for 2024, and we are currently unable to fulfill any further requests for financial support. We will begin accepting requests for 2025 in January. Any grant requests submitted prior to then will not be considered.
The Sofina Foundation is committed to support a wide range of charities across Canada, in particular, in the communities in which we operate.
Requests for consideration from Sofina Foods Inc. and/or the Sofina Foundation MUST meet the following criteria:
- Organization must be a registered charitable organization;
- Organization must support a cause that has a direct impact on the needs of children;
- Organization must benefit a community in which we operate;
- Organization must be non-discriminatory on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual preference or national origin.
Due to the high volume of requests, donation requests must be received a minimum of eight weeks prior to your event date. Please allow three weeks for response.
