The Sofina & Amici Golf Classic’s 10th Anniversary Event Raises Record $700,000!

Markham, August 22, 2017 – The Sofina Foundation hosted its annual charity golf tournament, The Sofina & Amici Golf Classic on Thursday, August 3^rd at the Eagles Nest Golf Club in Toronto. This year marked the event’s 10^th anniversary. A record $700,000 was raised in support of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as well as the Ronald McDonald Houses in Toronto and Edmonton.

The sold out event delivered on its promise to connect generous donors with worthy causes and featured celebrity chef Massimo Capra serving delicious pasta using Sofina products. Guests learned of the impact of their support through several video presentations as well as a first-hand account from a family that had been supported by both the Women & Babies Program and the Brain Sciences Program.

This year’s raised funds will go towards the construction of the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre’s Youth Mental Health Program at the new Brain Sciences Centre. Additionally, funds will support the School at the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto, as well as the Kitchen Redevelopment Project at the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton.
